Alumina rod uses
- Insulator: Alumina ceramics have high resistivity and low dielectric loss. Its resistivity is greater than 10^14 Ω·cm at room temperature, and its dielectric loss is less than 0.0001 (1MHz). Alumina rods can be made into insulators, insulating brackets and insulating rods, etc., and are widely used in various high-voltage electrical equipment and electronic equipment.
- Mechanical parts: Alumina ceramics have a high hardness of about 1500HV (Vickers hardness), and also have strong mechanical strength. Conventional materials have a bending strength greater than 300Mpa and a compressive strength greater than 2000Mpa. These superior properties allow alumina rods to be used for sealing rods, mechanical guide rods, wear-resistant bushings, etc. in various pumps and valves.
- Precision bearings: Alumina ceramic rods are used as bearings in various precision equipment, such as in high-speed locomotives, medical equipment, etc.
- Optical components: used as structural parts in various high-precision measuring instruments and optical fiber communication equipment.
