What is solid state battery technology?

Samsungs solid state battery uses distinct anode and cathode material. The anode is a silver carbon layer and the cathode has nickel , cobalt  and manganese in it. Aluminium acts as the collector and  a high sulphur material is used as the electrolyre in the set up .

China solid batteries are also on rise with advancing ceramic research. Li Pure Energy holds a production line of next gen ev battery with a charging potential of 2 Lac scooters. Other eminent giants in the field are Amperex and Chery, webbing its breakthrough for the year 2027.

Quantumscape Solid Battery

Quantumscape is a pioneer in Lithium Ceramic battery. The new product Cobra keeps away the flammability issues existing in the electrolytic set up. The prototype offers 80 % of charging within 15 minutes.

As per the analysts, the QS stock this year expects a revenue of 5 million doubling the next year. However, Qs stock also might face a downfall of 500 million.


How much does a solid-state battery cost?

It is very well known that Lithium-ion batteries are cheap.  It is generally around 150 to 200 $/Kwh. On the other hand, In 2026, the solid-state battery costs around 400 – 800 $/Kwh.
