What is The Function of The Oxygen Sensor Heater?

The oxygen sensor heater is used to quickly heat the sensor to its operating temperature after the engine starts, allowing it to enter closed-loop control mode and output a stable signal as quickly as possible.
At the same time, the PCM continuously monitors the operating status of the heater circuit, detecting abnormalities such as open circuits or short circuits to ground by monitoring resistance changes, thus ensuring the reliability and safety of the sensor system.
